Jason Pyne

Jason has been pioneering the development and delivery of innovative Renewable Energy Technologies and Projects across Australia since 1998 and was one of the first in Australia to be qualified as a Clean Energy Council Accredited Designer and Installer of Standalone Power Systems.

Jason’s knowledge and experience with Remote Area Power Supply Systems are formidable. As a leading Multi-Award winning Innovator in the Renewable Energy Industry, Jason leads an accomplished team of industry professionals who have successfully delivered numerous off-grid systems including fringe of grid systems in remote areas.

Jason spent over a decade working as a Renewable Energy Maintenance Manager with a Queensland Utility which saw him carry out emergency and planned maintenance on remote solar power systems in remote cattle stations and Wildlife Ranger bases throughout Qld.  From Boulia to Fraser Island and north to the Torres Strait, Jason often drove from Cairns to these remote and unforgiving environments throughout Qld.  This experience gave him an insight into the very real knowledge that not all Australians have the luxury of being able to turn a light switch on at night.  These properties ran their power mostly by diesel generators until they installed these solar power systems which meant they reduced their reliability on these generators.  Leading to a reduction in their diesel carbon emissions, considerable reduction in noise and the cost of diesel fuels, giving their families access to power 24hrs a day as opposed to 8 when the generators were running.

Jason’s experiences have inspired him to develop award winning solutions to facilitate access to energy supplies, regardless of location. In 2017, Jason won the Tropical North Queensland Innovation Award (TNQiA) for Portagrid, a modular, transportable renewable energy generation and storage system, the first of it’s kind in the world, with a Global Patent in over 130 countries around the world.  Jason continues to be heavily involved in Research and Development (R&D) of renewable energy solutions.  He encourages his team to think outside the square and embrace innovation as an essential part of our business.
